Are These Two Brothers

.......OR WHAT?

One Sunday afternoon, Isaac saw these two sitting on the counter deep in conversation and he got such a kick out of it that he grabbed the camera and took this photo.  I'm so glad he captured it.

Look.....My bangs are starting to grow out!

"My Mom still remembers that awful day I cut my own hair.....
but now look at me,"

"I'm just so cute and she really didn't need to be that devastated....right?"

I was the third wheel

during this outing.....because Aaron was back in the states for some training.  Actually Preston and Emily don't make me feel like a third wheel at all.  They invited me along for an evening downtown so I got a babysitter for the little ones and we were off.

Here are a couple of things you see living here.
These are taken in downtown Songtan
(which is right outside of our base)

Every once in a while you see things like this
random objects sold out of these yellow bins behind Emily and Preston.
It was the largest screw driver we've ever seen.

Or you also see something like this.
(which you see almost every day)
The men set up this game right in the middle of the street and play away.
I love it!
I always want to stop and watch, but I don't have the nerve to be a bystander.

Yummy!

Juliet was just sitting in her bouncer for a good part of the morning
as content as can be.

She was watching....

and smelling.....

these yummy cakes her Aunt Emily was making all day.

Emily helped out a friend make all these mini cakes
for a fundraiser happening this weekend on the base.
It was so nice to have her and the wonderful aroma here for the day.
And can you believe that we only helped ourselves to one of them.
We exercised a lot of self control.

Winter Everland

The weather here has actually been BEAUTIFUL compared to what it was earlier in the winter.  So we wanted to take advantage of this nice weather by going someplace fun and outdoors.  We chose none other than......EVERLAND.  Emmaline talks about this place on a daily basis, so Aaron and I wanted to take the kids, but when we found out that it wasn't going to work out because he was going to Alabama, Preston and Emily saved the day by accompanying us.  The kids had so much fun and it took away some of the sorrow from Daddy being absent.

Aunt Emily and Emmaline sledding down the hill at Everland.  They repeated this quite a few times because Emmaline was having so much fun.

Preston holding the sleepy Juliet

Yep, they sell icecream in the winter....and Isaac just can't pass up icecream.

Emmaline waving to Emily and me.
Isaac of course is doing his 'action' shot for the camera.

Emmaline pretty much had this face on the whole time we were there......except for the few fits she threw for Emily and Preston while standing in line.

Funny Preston, but do you see the girl looking over at him and the man looking down.....probably wondering why this American was sticking his behind out.

An Attempt to a Family Photo

but only two members of the family made it for the 'shoot'.  Aaron has gone to Alabama for six weeks and I so desperately wanted a family picture before he left.  Every time I thought we would have a spare moment, something would come up, so I had these two little girls with me and decided to take some of them anyway.  We all have these A-10 shirts that have been made for us here in Korea and hopefully when Aaron returns we can make our family photo happen.......with all six of us this time!

Yes, Juliet is already a little chub.
Two months old and 13 pounds.
We can't kiss those cheeks enough!
